【 摘 要 】

This study examines gender roles as portrayed in the lyrics of country music songs, looking specifically at the ways in which men and women are shown interacting in their romantic relationships. Further, the study will examine whether the portrayal of these relationships has changed during the last three decades, and if so in what ways.
