【 摘 要 】

This thesis will study several aspects of Frankenmuth. Among those aspects will be a comparison of Frankenmuth with other Bavarian colonies in the Saginaw Valley, which, along with Frankenmuth , were founded between 1845 and 1852. Also, the reasons -for Frankenmuth;; s success as a tourist attraction will be explored. Finally, sections on residents;; and business people;;s reactions to contemporary Frankenmuth will be presented.
