【 摘 要 】

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: In this thesis we describe the creation of an embodied conversational agent whichexhibits the behavioural traits of a child who has Asperger Syndrome. The agent isrule-based, rather than arti cially intelligent, for which we give justi cation. We thendescribe the design and implementation of the agent, and pay particular attentionto the interaction between emotion, personality and social context. A 3D demonstrationprogram shows the typical output to conform to Asperger-like answers, withcorresponding emotional responses.
