One unique aspect of the extended stay hotel typology is that as demographicsof temporary populations within this dwelling type shift, relationships mustconstantly be renegotiated. In order to best respond to the demands of thisspatial and temporal uncertainty, this project proposes new strategies for howcontingent populations and their accompanying programmatic temporalities cancohabitate on the same site. The focus of this research is to leverage the latentpotentials of the interstitial space between bodies in an architectural assemblagein order to activate, animate, and register relationships within a collectiveprogram.ii
