【 摘 要 】

Global survey outcomes presented in thispublication are divided into two main sections: Chapters Ithrough VIII analyze the survey results and identify trendsusing various variablefor cross-country comparisons. Inaddition to worldwide totals, three broad countrycharacteristics exogenous to payment system development areused as a basis for comparisons: i) level of per capitaincome; ii) geographical location; iii) population size.Details of the methodology used for the analysis are coveredin the Methodological Note. The Appendix contains the fullset of countryby- country answers to each of the questionsincluded in the questionnaire.
