【 摘 要 】
This book towards interventions in humanresources for health in Ghana is a collaborative effortbetween the government of Ghana and the World Bank, wasdeveloped to assist the ministry of health to obtain anoverview of the unique human resources for health (HRH)challenges that Ghana faces. Evidence on the stock,distribution, and performance of health workers in Ghana, aswell as on some of the underlying determinants of these HRHoutcomes, will help support the government resolve todevelop strategies and interventions to address HRH concernsand ultimately strengthen its health system. The content ofthis book was developed, discussed, and validated by meansof extensive consultations with the technical working groupon (HRH) in Ghana. This book contents totally eightchapters: chapter one covers toward evidence-basedinterventions for HRH; chapter two covers the stock ofhealth workers; chapter three covers the distribution ofhealth workers; chapter four covers the performance ofhealth workers; chapter five covers Ghana Agencies and theirroles and responsibilities in HRH; chapter six coversinterventions to increase stock and improve distribution andperformance of HRH; chapter seven covers financing availablefor policy and interventions; and chapter eights covers thepolitical economy of crafting policy.
