【 摘 要 】
The Consultative Group to Assist thePoor (CGAP), a multi-donor consortium dedicated to advancingmicrofinance, is a global resource center for microfinancestandards, to provide operational tools, training, andadvisory services, committed to building more inclusivefinancial systems for the poor. Meeting the challenge ofplacing resources and power into the hands of poor andlow-income people themselves, is the topic of this book. Itis also the main focus of the CGAP, a vision about inclusivefinancial systems, the only way to reach large numbers ofpoor and low-income people. To get there, diverse approachesare needed, reviewed through a look at microfinance, itshistory, process and progress. The book offers a compendiumof CGAP's learning and experience over the past decade, opening a new chapter in its ongoing work: to dramaticallyexpand access to financial services.
