Land is the integrating component of alllivelihoods depending on farm, forest, rangeland, or water(rivers, lakes, coastal marine) habitats. Due to varyingpolitical, social, and economic factors, the heavy use ofnatural resources to supply a rapidly growing globalpopulation and economy has resulted in the unintendedmismanagement and degradation of land and ecosystems.
