【 摘 要 】
Output-Based Aid (OBA) has been usedsince the early 2000s to deliver basic infrastructure andsocial services to the poor, typically throughpublic-private partnerships. Given the limited experiencewith OBA in the water and sanitation sector, GlobalPartnership OBA has made a concerted effort to test OBAapproaches in the sector. A growing number of regional andlocal private providers have emerged, and some projectsinvolve public providers. This note is based on the WorldBank study 'Output-Based Aid: Lessons Learned and BestPractices' and aims to share experiences so far withthe use of OBA in water and sanitation.
