Meghmani Organics Limited (MOL) is achemical group located in the state of Gujarat in India. Itsmain products are specialty chemicals, including pigments,pesticides, and other intermediates. Prior to InternationalFinance Corporation's (IFC's) investment, MOL hadfour manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, India, with about2,000 employees. In 2008, IFC invested in MOL to buildMeghmani FineChem Limited (MFL), a green field chlor-alkaliplant, in Dahej, a port city in Gujarat. This smart lessonprovides a snapshot of the changes that took place in MFLfollowing IFC's recommendation for the company toemploy women.
