【 摘 要 】

Performance-based contracting in healthis an example of a results-based financing approach toimproving health service delivery. In 2003 and 2004 theGlobal Partnership on Output-Based Aid (GPOBA) supported thedesign of three schemes using performance-based contractingin Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda.GPOBA's technical assistance has led to threeinnovative projects funded by the World Bank and theCanadian International Development Agency (CIDA). This notereviews early lessons from these schemes.
