【 摘 要 】

Bangladesh is among the most denselypopulated countries in the world. Poverty remains high at 43percent of the population subsist on less than United States(U.S.) $1.25 per day (2010). Bangladesh achieved severalmillennium development goal (MDG) targets in education, health, and poverty reduction. Gender equality andwomen's empowerment are important determinants ofreproductive health. While fertility and contraceptiveprevalence rate (CPR) are evenly distributed, wide gaps inaccess to maternal health services remain. Bangladesh willneed to focus on increasing political commitment toadolescent health; focusing interventions on high-fertilityand high maternal mortality ratio (MMR) areas; addressinghuman resources constraints; and harnessing the use of technology.
