【 摘 要 】

This project aimed to establish aperformance test specification to ensure that when aPV-powered solar lantern (PVSL) successfully completed thetests, it would be expected to have an extended period oflife without failure at the specified performance level. Theproject also aimed to establish a specification that couldbe used for the certification of PVSL performance. SincePVSLs are shipped worldwide, obviously the result should beglobal in scope so that all manufacturers in every countrycan use the specifications. The goal is to provide consumerswith an easy visual recognition that the PVSL they intend tobuy is a quality product and can be clearly distinguishedfrom products of unknown quality.
