【 摘 要 】

This paper provides an overview of theperiod prior to the recent global crisis, and the policiesthat were adopted around the world in response to thecrisis. It highlights a number of key issues regardingeconomic and financial policies that governments have facedboth globally and nationally. These are related to themanagement of boom and bust episodes that deserve moreattention in policy circles in the future.
