The four studies in this technical paperseries deal with complementary themes and propose solutionsto the same problems that all of them perceive in theMexican electricity sector - yet each paper looks at theproblem from a different angle, and proposes differentactions that must be taken in order to bring about asignificant increase in Mexico's adoption of on-gridrenewable energy. These papers take us from the generaloverview of the policy and institutional context, down tothe specific case of a hypothetical wind farm. They reviewthe current situation, identify concrete policy andinstitutional changes that are badly needed to stimulate thesector, look at how new paradigms for valuation can help usto better account for the value of renewable energycapacity, and finally perform a thorough economic impactanalysis of the hypothetical addition of a large wind farmto Mexico's grid.
