The World Bank interviewed arepresentative sample of the private sector, composed of1,002 establishments, between January and November 2013. Theenterprise survey covers several aspects of the businessenvironment as well as performance measures for each firm.This report presents following highlights from the survey:firm performance indicators point to a significantdeterioration over the last five years; several access tocredit indicators also reveal a deterioration over time; thetime tax imposed by regulations has increased despiteimprovements in selected indicators; Ukrainian firms faced asignificant increase in the level of corruption; femaleinclusion in the private economy decreased over the lastfive years; and access to finance and corruption were thetop obstacles chosen by the business community.
