Pakistan is one of the fastestdeveloping markets for branchless banking in the world.Clear regulations and a regulator that is willing to bothlisten to the private sector and provide incentives forinnovation have promoted a dynamic branchless bankingsector. Two players have already launched services, andothers are waiting in the wings. This brief highlights bothexisting and anticipated businesses and outlines the keychallenges and opportunities that are likely to shape themarket over the next twelve months.
