【 摘 要 】

Different types of data are required formanaging the road infrastructure. Inventory data describethe physical elements of a road system. Condition datadescribe the condition of elements that can be expected tochange over time. There are a wide range of technologiesavailable to the road manager for measuring attributes ofthe road network. The challenge is to select the appropriateequipment, given local conditions and the way in which thedata are expected to be used. The purpose of this note is togive a general view of the currently available surveytechnologies applied to pavements, bridges and traffic. Thisincludes an assessment of the applicability of thesetechnologies in developing countries. The goal is to assistmanagers in establishing an appropriate and sustainable edata collection program and procuring the appropriateequipment to collect the data. This note is a summary of thereport 'Data Collection Technologies for RoadManagement' (see report no. 37372).The note openswith a discussion of data collection requirements. This isthen followed by separate discussions on pavements, bridgesand traffic survey technologies. A cost/performance analysisbetween available equipment is presented in each section.Finally, recommendations for data collection are presentedas a guidance to managers in developing countries.
