【 摘 要 】

Community Based Targeting (CBT) andself-targeting are the two main methods used in the largestprogramme of Public Works. This note assesses and comparesthe effectiveness and efficiency of these targeting methodsin identifying the poor in Public Works Programmes funded byMASAF and CARE in Malawi's Central Region. It furtherseeks to identify challenges that hinder the effectivenessof these methods.
