【 摘 要 】

Using a census of all workers in privateestablishments in the formal sector in Mexico to trackworkers and establishments over time, this paper presentsthe first Mexican worker and job flow statistics.The dataallow for comparing these flows across time, space, andworker characteristics. Although many patterns are similarto those documented in developing countries, the analysisuncovers patterns that have potentially important policyimplications.The authors compare the results to theliterature, illustrate how the statistics change duringtimes of reform and crisis, and present novel findings thatcontribute to the broader literature on worker reallocations.
