【 摘 要 】
E-government is about changing howgovernments work, share information, and deliver services toexternal and internal clients. It harnesses information andcommunications technology to transform relationships withcitizens and businesses, and between arms of government.Benefits can include reduced corruption, increasedtransparency, greater convenience, higher revenues, andlower costs. But case studies show that these benefits donot result solely from the use of information andcommunications technology. Instead, e-government initiativesshould be part of broader reforms to improve public sector performance.
