【 摘 要 】

In order to meet the growing Indonesiandemand for electricity, while also constraining carbondioxide (CO2) emissions, future coal power plants may haveto include CO2 capture equipment with storage of that CO2.This study set out to define and evaluate the conditionsunder which fossil fuel power plants can be deemed as carboncapture and storage (CCS) ready (CCS-R). It considers thetechnical, economic, and institutional implications of CO2capture and storage for candidate power plants in SouthSumatra and West Java. The potential to sell captured CO2for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in South Sumatra is reviewed.
