【 摘 要 】

The climate change challenge and thegrowth of the Islamic finance industry, together with theincrease in socially responsible investing, could positiongreen sukuk as a key instrument for financing clean energyand resilient infrastructure projects as well asshorter-term energy efficiency projects. Expansion of agreen sukuk market could promote environment-friendlyprojects and improve livelihoods, helping Islamic financeachieve its moral objectives. A roadmap shows how policymakers could create a green sukuk market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
