Reducing emissions from heatingand cooking are part of the MongolianGovernment and Ulaanbaatar Municipality’smulti-year, multi-sector strategy to improveair quality in Ulaanbaatar. The achievements andinvestments are at risk for a numberof factors discussed in this report. Therisks are sufficiently serious that theycould even reverse hard-won air qualityimprovements.
