This note describes how poverty measuresreported by the World Bank can be replicated using the Statacommand povcalnet. Users can estimate poverty at any povertyline for the world, regions or sets of countries, bydirectly querying the World Bank's database ofhousehold surveys. The command also retrieves inequalitystatistics provided by the database.
