This paper discusses the landscape forprivate equity and venture capital financing in Nepal. Itprovides an overview of the nascent private equity andventure capital market in the country, describing keyplayers, including funds, fund managers, investors, andpublic sector entities. The paper provides an analysis ofkey market drivers and impediments, as well aslegal/regulatory/taxation drivers and impediments thataffect Nepal’s private equity and venture capital industry.
