This note presents a detailed analysisof jobs in Kazakhstan at the macro and individual levels,including regional and socio-economic disparities. At themacro level, it includes a diagnostic of the links betweeneconomic growth, jobs, and productivity across differenteconomic sectors. At the individual level, the analysisfocuses on labor market outcomes of women and men, young andadult workers, residents of urban and rural areas, andpeople in the bottom 40 percent of the consumptiondistribution. It also presents a detailed analysis ofdeterminants of employment and wages.
