【 摘 要 】

The purpose of this Country PrivateSector Diagnostic (CPSD) is to assess opportunities andconstraints holding back private sector growth. It conductsa diagnostic of the main cross-cutting constraints toprivate sector competitiveness and growth through dataanalysis, synthesis of existing research and stakeholderconsultations. This exercise also identifies sectors thatcould play a key role in enabling Nepal’s growth, by eitherenabling other sectors or capitalizing on Nepal’s inherentcomparative advantage to tap global markets. Sector deepdives help identify private sector constraints specific tothese sectors, including sector-specific manifestations ofcross-cutting constraints. The CPSD analysis finallyidentifies key recommendations on policy reforms andinvestments in public goods (including public-privatepartnerships) that could enable growth of a competitiveprivate sector.
