【 摘 要 】

The Malaysian story involves afarsighted leadership that has mobilized the considerableassets of a resource-rich country to translate a long-termvision of nation building into action and transformationalresults. This report analyzes what Malaysia did to achievetransformative results in agriculture. It focuses on fourmain areas in which the Malaysian experience is distinctiveand which have been critical to its success, as follows: (1)The role of the public sector, encompassing nationalleadership, vision, and government action; (2) The maindrivers of transformation and inclusive growth; (3) The roleof value chains; (4) The inclusiveness of Malaysia'sagricultural transformation.
