【 摘 要 】

This evaluation focuses on the WorldBank Group’s support to enhancing industry-specificproductivity and competitiveness, and examines theimplications of improved industry competitiveness foremployment during the last decade. The evaluation focuses onactivities with explicit objectives to supportcompetitiveness in the industries of manufacturing(including agribusiness), information and communicationtechnology, tourism, and agriculture. The support to economywide reforms, which in turn might also have an impact onthese industries, is beyond the scope of this evaluation.The report draws conclusions on the relevance of the BankGroup’s support to productivity and competitiveness, thedesign and operational implementation of Bank Groupstrategies and performance results across differentcountries including the impact on employment generation.
