【 摘 要 】

A small but densely populated country,Rwanda has one of the fastest growing economies inSub-Saharan Africa. The Rwandan government is dedicated toexpanding access to electricity and aims to increase itselectrification rate, first to 70 percent by 2018, andsubsequently to 100 percent by 2020 – an ambitious targetconsidering that approximately 86 percent of thecountry's population resides in rural areas. It'sfocus on expanding energy access also applies to increasingaccess to improved cookstoves (ICSs). Rwanda has gainedsupport from multiple development partners to help it reachits energy access goals.
