This report is a synthesis of fieldworkfindings and recommendations developed since October 2012under this Technical Assistance (TA) carried out by theWorld Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program (WSP). Therecommendations have been developed through on-goingconsultations and meetings with the Directorate ofEnvironmental Sanitation and Directorate General of HumanSettlements, Ministry of Health, and Government ofIndonesia. This report describes and assesses theperformance of technical assistance TA-P143167, ‘ruralsanitation market expansion of domestic private sector inIndonesia,’ provided by the World Bank through the Water andSanitation Program (WSP) carried out from October 2, 2012 toMarch 31, 2015 to support the development of a ruralsanitation market in Indonesia. This technical assistance(TA) was implemented as parts of a larger effort to assistthe Government of Indonesia achieve at-scale results inrural sanitation through its National Strategy forCommunity-Based Total Sanitation (Sanitasi Total BerbasisMasyarakat - STBM).
