On the economic front, Madagascar'squest for stability has continued with persistent trends inmajor indicators over the last few months. Yet, theauthorities have been managing strategic prices, interveningon the exchange rate market, and adopting the revised budgetlaw. Those new actions, partly the Government'sresponse to exogenous factors, have and influencesignificantly but unevenly a large variety of stakeholders.The magnitude of these impacts might in turn shape not onlyfuture policy but also political decisions.
