At a meeting in July 2014 in Beijing, wecommitted to working together on a flagshipreport that would help set the direction forhealth sector reform in China. This report,Deepening Health Reform in China, is theresult. Using the successful model offered byprevious flagship reports like China 2030and Urban China, this report primarily offersa blueprint for a new direction for China’shealth sector. The report’s main theme is the need forChina to transition its healthcare deliverysystem toward people-centered, quality, integratedcare built on the foundation ofa strong primary healthcare system.
