Social protection schemes can contributeto poverty reduction objectives pursued through currentcommunity-driven development (CDD) platforms in Myanmar bybuilding household and community resilience. In turn,existing CDD platforms provide viable options to promote atransition to government-led social protection delivery.Making infrastructure development more pro-poor andprovidingcommunities with an expanded menu of options, includingsocial protection schemes, can be a first step in enhancingthe poverty reduction potential of CDD platforms.
