Environmental and social responsibilityis becoming more and more important in today's globaleconomy.There are thousands of environmental and socialcodes and standards in the world today.The codes andstandards define the rules and the objectives.But thechallenge is in the implementation.An environmental andsocial management system helps companies to integrate therules and objectives into core business operations, througha set of clearly defined, repeatable processes.Thishandbook provides tools to build or enhance a company'senvironmental and social management system (ESMS).SectionI is the Toolkit - sample documents, blank forms,flowcharts, checklists and templates.There are tools foreach of the nine elements in the ESMS.Section II is theCase Studies - examples of how two different companies usedthe tools and developed and implemented an ESMS appropriateto the size and nature of their business.
