A set of case studies was prepared aspart of the World Bank’s Water Global Practice initiative'Wastewater. Shifting paradigms: from waste toresource' to document existing experiences in the watersector on the topic. The case studies highlight innovativefinancing and contractual arrangements, innovativeregulations and legislation and innovative project designsthat promote integrated planning, resource recovery and thatenhance the financial and environmental sustainability ofwastewater treatment plants.
