【 摘 要 】

Vietnam reacted early to the spread ofCoronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) by imposing social distancingmeasures and mobility restrictions, culminating in anational lockdown in April 2020. In order to understand theimpact of COVID-19 on Vietnamese firms, the business plussurvey (BPS) was implemented to access the various channelsof impact of the pandemic on firms, their adjustmentstrategies, and public policy responses. The first round ofthe BPS was conducted in June 2020 and collected responsesfrom 499 firms through a mix of phone and in-personinterviews. The survey results indicated that the lockdownhad a large temporary effect on the operational status of firms.
