【 摘 要 】

Mexico, one of the most experiencedemerging market countries in disaster risk management, hasproactively sought to benefit from global diversification bysharing risks with international capital markets. It was thefirst country to issue a multi-peril multi-region cat bondusing the World Bank’s MultiCat Program. The MultiCatProgram allowed Mexico to efficiently transfer a pool ofdisaster risk to the capital markets.
