【 摘 要 】

In mature health systems, specialty caresystems are well developed but integration between primarycare and specialty services can be poor or nonexistent,leading to missed referrals, duplication of basicdiagnostics and care, long wait times, and a lack offollow-up. Forward-looking frontline services will need todevelop stronger two-way linkages and referrals withspecialist networks, helping ensure continuity of care fromprimary care to specialist appointments and hospitals, andback again to the community.
