Coronavirus (COVID-19) has significantlyaffected many economies throughout the world, but there aresome brighter signs in Vietnam. To monitor the social andeconomic effects on households amid the pandemic, the WorldBank designed and conducted its Coronavirus (COVID-19)high-frequency phone surveys of households in Vietnam. Thismonitoring data helps gather insights on householdwell-being as post-lockdown reopening unfolds, and tohighlight the effects on the most vulnerable members ofVietnamese society. The first round of the Vietnam householdhigh-frequency phone survey was conducted between June 5 toJuly 8, 2020. Over six thousand households were contactedfrom all provinces in the country. This note provides asnapshot of results from the first of four rounds of highfrequency surveys.
