Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) hosted its first annual Summer Research Institute in Interfacial and Condensed Phase Chemical Physics from May through September 2004. During this period, fourteen PNNL scientists hosted sixteen young scientists from eleven universities. Of the sixteen participants, fourteen were graduate students, one was transitioning to graduate school, and one was a university faculty member.Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) hosted the second annual Summer Research Institute in Interfacial and Condensed Phase Chemical Physics from May through September 2005. During this period, 16 PNNL scientists hosted 14 young scientists from 11 different universities. Of the 14 participants, 12 were graduate students; one was a postdoctoral fellow; and one was a university faculty member.
