【 摘 要 】

The Advanced Petroleum-Based Fuels-Diesel Emissions Control (APBF-DEC) project is a government/industry collaborative project to identify the optimal combinations of low-sulfur diesel fuels, lubricants, diesel engines, and emission control systems to meet projected emission standards for the 2004 to 2010 time period. Properties of fuels and vehicle systems could lead to even lower emissions beyond 2010. APBF-DEC consists of five projects that use a systems approach to enhance the collective knowledge base about engines, diesel fuels, lubricants, and emission control technologies.
