【 摘 要 】
The conversion rate of plastic work to heat, F, is an important quantity. It is necessary in finite element simulations involving plasticity in which temperature calculations are made. In this paper, the Mechanical Threshold Stress (MTS) model is compared to experimental measurements of the variation of with plastic strain for Ti-6Al-4V. The experiment was performed in high-speed torsion with the surface temperature measured using radiometry.
