【 摘 要 】
Gravitational instability of the distribution of stars in a galaxy is a well-known phenomenon in astrophysics. This work is a preliminary attempt to analyze this effect using the standard tools developed in accelerator physics. The result is first applied to nonrotating gallaxies with spherical and planar symmetries. Extensions to rotating galaxies are not studied here.
