【 摘 要 】
It is anticipated that there will be a significant expansion of the Khaya senegalensis (desr.) A. Juss (African mahogany) estate within the Daly River region of the Northern Territory.CSIRO’s Water for a Healthy Country National Research Flagship was approached by Charles Darwin University to make a preliminary assessment of the potential impacts of this proposed expansion on the water resources of the region Mahogany plantations currently represent a small proportion of the total catchment area (1%) however it is anticipated that this area could increase at a rate of approximately 2000 ha-1 up to a total of 50000 ha.【 预 览 】
