【 摘 要 】

This study explored fundamental aspects of electron transfer reactions at electrode surfaces. Such fundamental knowledge is necessary for the development and implementation of improved photovoltaic, photochemical, and photoelectrochemical technologies. Two preprints are attached: ''Immobilization of cytochrome C at Au electrodes by association of a pyridine terminated SAM and the heme of cytochrome''; ''The nature of electronic coupling between ferrocene and gold through alkanethiolate monolayers on electrodes. The importance of chain composition, interchain coupling, and quantum interference.''
