Projections for the next decade (2018-28) suggest that the share of the population that is food insecure in 76 low- and middle-income countries included in this report will fall from 21.1. percent in 2018 to 10.4 percent, the number of food-insecure people will fall from 782 million to 446 million, and the intensity of food insecurity will decline by 34 percent.See related Webinar: International Food Security Assessment: 2018 – 2028.
