【 摘 要 】
Charge motion in an electrophoretic display was modeled for multiple charged species with different mobilities. As charges move, the lowered electric field by local depletion of charges near electrodes makes the charges in the middle move slower. It takes more time to collect all the charges with a given voltage for higher initial charge concentrations. Because the charge distribution is controlled by the field distribution, charges of both polarities have similar distribution in the middle of the cell and the charge collection time is mainly governed by the slower species.
