A growing number of studies have raised questions regarding uncertainties in our understanding of methane (CH₄) emissions from fugitives and venting along the natural gas (NG) supply chain. In particular, a number of measurement studies have suggested that actual levels of CH₄ emissions may be higher than estimated by EPA" tm s U.S. GHG Emission Inventory. We reviewed the literature to identify the growing number of studies that have raised questions regarding uncertainties in our understanding of methane (CH₄) emissions from fugitives and venting along the natural gas (NG) supply chain.
